Thanksgiving Placemats!

We have been busy all week preparing for our Harvest Feast on Friday afternoon with my students.  One of the things that we made today was a Thanksgiving place mat.  This directional art activity turns out so cute!  I forgot my phone today, so I wasn’t able to take pictures, but fortunately I did take a picture  from last year!  Click the picture below to download the dimensions and directions for this project!  I hope that you little kiddos have fun making this project!

Don’t you just love this time of the year!  The holidays are almost here and I just can’t wait!  I posted my new Thankgiving unit to Teachers Pay Teachers last week and it is full of fun activities for your students.  This activity pack would be ideal for a kindergarten or first grade classroom.  Here are some sample pictures of the contents of the unit:

Now on to the FREE printables!  I hope that you will find these useful in the next couple of weeks as you work on your Thanksgiving themes within your classrooms :).  Click the pictures below to download.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

New Thematic Unit Page…

Wow, October was such a busy month!  I haven’t really had a chance to update this blog too much in the last couple of weeks, partly because I just finished directing the school play, “The Emperor’s New Clothes” (which was so much fun and a great success!)

So now that we are in November, I am thinking ahead to the upcoming holidays.  I just updated the thematic unit section to add a new page for Thanksgiving.  It is titled, “We Are Thankful”.  Here you will find lots of links to many free printables on the web.  I will continue to update this page as we work on completing activities related to this unit in the next few weeks.
