K is for Kite!

As you can see from the post below, we have been learning about weather recently, and this week we our letter of the week is K.  A couple of weeks ago we made these beautiful tissue paper kites to hang in class for Open House:

I just love how colorful these kites are!  Like so many other things, there are great resources on the web if you will be completing a kite theme in your classrooms.  Here are some links to a few things:

And no kite mini-theme would be complete without a story!  I actually haven’t read this book, but have many of Stuart Murphy’s other math books and they are WONDERFUL!  So, I’m pretty sure that this one is good too 🙂
