I just recently came across some awesome resources if you use Houghton Mifflin’s Alpha Friends to teacher letter/sound recognition.  Eduplace has letter cards that you can print:  Alphafriends printable cards.  Cumberland County School district has posted some songs that accompany the Alphafriends cards: Alpha Friends Song Cards

Beginning has some fantastic printables that you can print out and use to teach letter recognition and sounds:

These are the magnets that I use. I purchased them from my local school supply store for about $6.99. The magnets are color coded: consonants are blue and vowels are red.

Also, I just recently came across a little treasure at Costco.  I found a Leapfrog video called, “The Letter Factory”.  It is fantastic!  It teaches letters and letter sounds in a cute, child-friendly way.  Here is a picture of the cover:
